AWS Big Data Exam updated to AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty.<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Data integrity is the maintenance of, and the assurance\nof <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • the accuracy of data <\/li>
  • and consistency of data <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    over its entire life-cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A data store\u2019s classification must consider\nconfidentiality, availability, and integrity as a baseline for data security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Confidentiality \u2013 Only authorized access\npermitted.<\/li>
    • Integrity \u2013 Completeness, accuracy and freedom\nfrom unauthorized change.<\/li>
    • Availability \u2013 Accessibility and usability when\nrequired.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Amazon S3, by default, provides object metadata for\nevery object including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Date<\/li>
      • Content-Length<\/li>
      • Last-Modified<\/li>
      • Content-MD5<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (AWS CAF) covers five\nkey capabilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM): Define, enforce, and audit user permissions across AWS services, actions, and resources.<\/li>
        • Detective control: Improve your security posture, reduce the risk profile of your environment, and gain the visibility you need to spot issues before they impact your business.<\/li>
        • Infrastructure security: Reduce the surface area of the infrastructure you manage and increase the privacy and control of your overall infrastructure on AWS.<\/li>
        • Data protection: Implement appropriate safeguards that help protect data in transit and at rest by using natively integrated encrypted services.<\/li>
        • Incident response: Define and execute a response to security incidents.as a guide for security planning.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          The following security best practices also address data\nprotection in Amazon S3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Implement server-side encryption<\/li>
          • Enforce encryption of data in transit<\/li>
          • Consider using Amazon Macie with Amazon S3<\/li>
          • Identify and audit all your Amazon S3 buckets<\/li>
          • Monitor AWS security advisories<\/li>
          • Implement least privilege access<\/li>
          • Use IAM roles for applications and AWS services\nthat require Amazon S3 access<\/li>
          • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) Delete<\/li>
          • Consider encryption of data at rest<\/li>
          • Enforce encryption of data in transit – Allow\nonly encrypted connections over HTTPS (TLS) using the aws:SecureTransport\ncondition on Amazon S3 bucket policies. <\/li>
          • Consider Amazon S3 Object Lock – Amazon S3\nObject Lock enables you to store objects using a “Write Once Read\nMany” (WORM) model. <\/li>
          • Consider VPC endpoints for Amazon S3 access<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Security Monitoring and Auditing Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Identify and audit all your Amazon S3 buckets<\/li>
            • Implement monitoring using AWS monitoring tools<\/li>
            • Enable Amazon S3 server access logging<\/li>
            • Use AWS CloudTrail<\/li>
            • Enable AWS Config<\/li>
            • Consider using Amazon Macie with Amazon S3<\/li>
