Here you’ll learn an\u00a0Azure App Service plan\u00a0provides the resources that an App Service app needs to run. So, this pilot shows how to manage an plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating an App Service plan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can create an empty App Service plan, or you can create a plan as part of app creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In the\u00a0Azure portal, click Create a resource<\/strong>.\"Create<\/li>
  2. Click New<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Web App<\/strong>\u00a0or another kind of app.\"Create<\/li>
  3. After this, configure the\u00a0Instance Details<\/strong>\u00a0section before configuring the Service plan. <\/li>
  4. Now, in the\u00a0Plan\u00a0section, select an existing plan or create a plan by selecting\u00a0Create new.\"Create<\/li>
  5. When creating a plan, you can select the pricing tier of the new plan. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Moving an app to another plan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    To move an app to another Service plan, follow the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. First of all, in the\u00a0Azure portal, search for and select\u00a0App services<\/strong>\u00a0and click the app that you want to move.<\/li>
    2. Then, from the left menu, click Change App Service<\/strong>.<\/li>
    3. After this, in the\u00a0Service plan<\/strong>\u00a0dropdown, click an existing plan to move the app to. Also, you can also generate a new plan manually by selecting\u00a0Create new<\/strong>.<\/li>
    4. In case you wish to create a plan, select the pricing tier of the new plan. In\u00a0Pricing Tier<\/strong>, select the existing tier to change it.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      1. After completion, select\u00a0OK<\/strong>.\"App<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Moving an app to a different region<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        The space in which your app runs in the region of it’s in. You can find\u00a0Clone App<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Development Tools<\/strong>\u00a0section of the menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Scaling plan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        In order, to scale up an pricing tier, see\u00a0Scale up an app in Azure. So, to scale out an app’s instance count, see\u00a0Scale instance count manually or automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Deleting plan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        To avoid unexpected charges, when you delete the last app, App Service also deletes the plan by default. If you choose to keep the plan instead, you should change the plan to\u00a0Free<\/strong>\u00a0tier so you’re not charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
