{"id":1899,"date":"2019-08-07T11:24:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-07T11:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.testpreptraining.com\/tutorial\/?page_id=1899"},"modified":"2020-05-02T07:10:34","modified_gmt":"2020-05-02T07:10:34","slug":"health-dashboards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.testpreptraining.ai\/tutorial\/aws-sysops-administrator-associate\/health-dashboards\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Dashboards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Amazon CloudWatch dashboards are <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>customizable home pages in the CloudWatch\nconsole <\/li><li>use to monitor resources in a single view, <\/li><li>resources spread across different Regions can be\nincluded<\/li><li>use to create customized views of the metrics\nand alarms for AWS resources.<\/li><li>With dashboards, you can create the following:<\/li><li>A single view for selected metrics and alarms to\nassess the health of resources and applications across regions. <\/li><li>An operational playbook for team members during\noperational events about how to respond to specific incidents.<\/li><li>A common view of critical resource and\napplication measurements that can be shared by team members for faster\ncommunication flow during operational events.<\/li><li>Create dashboards by <ul><li>the\nconsole<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>the\nAWS CLI<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>the&nbsp; PutDashboard API.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a dashboard using the console<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the CloudWatch console at\nhttps:\/\/console.aws.amazon.com\/cloudwatch\/.<\/li><li>In the navigation pane, choose Dashboards and\nthen Create dashboard.<\/li><li>In the Create new dashboard dialog box, enter a\nname for the dashboard and choose Create dashboard. <\/li><li>Do one of the following in the Add to this\ndashboard dialog box:<ul><li>To\nadd a graph to your dashboard, choose Line or Stacked area and choose\nConfigure. In the Add metric graph dialog box, select the metrics to graph and\nchoose Create widget. If a specific metric doesn&#8217;t appear in the dialog box\nbecause it hasn&#8217;t published data in more than 14 days, you can add it manually.\nFor more information, see Graph Metrics Manually on a CloudWatch Dashboard.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To\nadd a number displaying a metric to the dashboard, choose Number and then\nConfigure. In the Add metric graph dialog box, select the metrics to graph and\nchoose Create widget.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To\nadd a text block to your dashboard, choose Text and then Configure. In the New\ntext widget dialog box, for Markdown, add and format your text using Markdown.\nChoose Create widget.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Optionally,\nchoose Add widget and repeat step 4 to add another widget to the dashboard.
