Now, these business rules offer a simple interface for implementing and maintaining fast-changing and commonly used rules. Some of the important characteristics of business rule include &#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, business rules defined for a table apply to both&nbsp;<em>canvas apps<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>model-driven apps<\/em>&nbsp;if the table is used in the app.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Secondly, not all business rule actions are available on canvas apps at this time.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Thirdly, business rules don\u2019t work with multi-select choices.<\/li><li>We can perform the following business rules by combining conditions and actions &#8211; Setting column values, Clearing column values, Setting column requirement levels, Showing or hiding columns, Enabling or disabling columns, Validating data and show error messages and Creating business recommendations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Steps to create a Business Rule<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, sign in to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/make.powerapps.com\/?utm_source=padocs&amp;utm_medium=linkinadoc&amp;utm_campaign=referralsfromdoc\">Power Apps<\/a>, and then click or tap the down arrow for&nbsp;<strong>Data<\/strong>&nbsp;near the left edge.<\/li><li>Secondly, in the list that appears, click or tap&nbsp;<strong>Tables<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Then, open the table you want to create the business rule for, and then click the&nbsp;<strong>Business Rules<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li><li>In the fourth step, Click&nbsp;<strong>New<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Further, add a description, if you want, in the description box in the upper-left corner of the window and set the scope accordingly.<\/li><li>Next, add conditions to your business rule<\/li><li>In the seventh step, add a business recommendation. (Model-Driven only)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Moreover, to validate the business rule, click&nbsp;<strong>Validate<\/strong>&nbsp;on the action bar.<\/li><li>Then, to save the business rule, click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>&nbsp;on the action bar.<\/li><li>Lastly, to activate the business rule, select it in the Solution Explorer window, and then click&nbsp;<strong>Activate<\/strong>. Note &#8211; We cannot activate the business rule from the designer window.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Limitation of Business Rules<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the limitations that apply to the use of canvas apps, flows, and custom connectors in solutions include &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, canvas app instant flows must be created from an app already in a solution. Such that adding this type of flow from outside solutions is blocked.<\/li><li>Secondly, canvas apps do not display in the classic solution explorer. It is recommended to use the modern experience. <\/li><li>Thirdly, flows created from solutions will not be displayed in the &#8220;Team Flows&#8221; list.
