Efficient individuals complete the address it by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>create checklists <\/li><li>multitask to prioritize work<\/li><li>identify key tasks<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, in organizations due to increased reliance on IT, a structured approach to manage and govern IT is needed. This is provided by Governance frameworks. It is a governance and management framework. COBIT establishes the controls necessary for IT governance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It <mark class=\"annotation-text annotation-text-yoast\" id=\"annotation-text-7468d3a2-b353-4f8c-8088-f7b193751d52\"><\/mark> helps companies in assessing the strength of their controls against the organization\u2019s strategic direction. As an example, the framework provides the captain of a ship, with the information that allows him or her to keep the ship on course. COBIT has undergone evolution to address the various technological changes. It has evolved from a control based guidance to guidance for governance and management of I&amp;T infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COBIT helps to identify business goals, align those goals with the IT goals and assess their alignment to support the organization&#8217;s goals. It also helps to define a desired target state.
