Also, you will learn to use Power BI desktop, using an Excel file to prepare the data for the Anomaly Detector API. Thereafter, visualize statistical anomalies throughout it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Prerequisites to identify anomalies<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, an Azure subscription<\/li><li>Secondly, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, available for free.<\/li><li>Then, an excel file (.xlsx) containing time series data points. The example data for this quickstart can be found on GitHub<\/li><li>Lastly, after you have your Azure subscription, create an Anomaly Detector resource in the Azure portal to get your key and endpoint.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Steps to Load and format the Time Series Data<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, open Power BI Desktop and load the time series data you downloaded from the prerequisites. <\/li><li>In the second step, the excel file contains a series of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) timestamp and value pairs.<\/li><li>Thirdly, in the main Power BI Desktop window, click the&nbsp;<strong>Home<\/strong>&nbsp;ribbon. <\/li><li>Then, in the&nbsp;<strong>External data<\/strong>&nbsp;group of the ribbon, open the&nbsp;<strong>Get Data<\/strong>&nbsp;drop-down menu and click&nbsp;<strong>Excel<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Next, the dialog appears, navigate to the folder where you downloaded the example .xlsx file and select it. <\/li><li>After the&nbsp;<strong>Navigator<\/strong>&nbsp;dialogue appears, click&nbsp;<strong>Sheet1<\/strong>, and then&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Thereafter, click the&nbsp;<strong>Transform<\/strong>&nbsp;ribbon in the Power Query Editor. In the&nbsp;<strong>Any Column<\/strong>&nbsp;group, open the&nbsp;<strong>Data Type:<\/strong>&nbsp;drop-down menu, and select&nbsp;<strong>Text<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Lastly, when you get a notice about changing the column type, click&nbsp;<strong>Replace Current<\/strong>.
