It applies to both the Power BI service and Power BI Desktop.\u00a0Also, sharing your report with a Power BI colleague requires that you both have individual Power BI Pro licenses or that the report is saved in Premium capacity. Some of the prerequisites to add visualization items using the Sales &amp; marketing PBIX file &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, from the upper left section of the Power BI Desktop menu bar, select File > Open<\/li><li>In the second step, find your copy of the Sales and marketing sample PBIX file<\/li><li>Then, open the Sales and marketing sample PBIX file in report view Screenshot of the report view icon..<\/li><li>Lastly, select Screenshot of the yellow tab. to add a new page.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Steps to add visualizations to the report<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, create a visualization by selecting a field from the\u00a0<strong>Fields<\/strong>\u00a0pane.<\/li><li>Then, start with a numeric field like\u00a0<strong>Sales<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0<strong>TotalSales<\/strong>. Power BI creates a column chart with a single column. Or, start with a category field, such as\u00a0<strong>Name<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Product<\/strong>. Power BI creates a table and adds that field to the\u00a0<strong>Values<\/strong>\u00a0well. Or, start with a geography field, such as\u00a0<strong>Geo<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0<strong>City<\/strong>. Power BI and Bing Maps create a map visualization.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Steps to change the type of visualization<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Firstly, select\u00a0<strong>Product<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0<strong>Category<\/strong>\u00a0and then\u00a0<strong>Product<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0<strong>Count of Product<\/strong>\u00a0to add them both to the\u00a0<strong>Values<\/strong>\u00a0well.<\/li><li>Then, change the visualization to a column chart by selecting the\u00a0<strong>Stacked column chart<\/strong>\u00a0icon.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Creating Visualization<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to create a visualization, you should select a field from the\u00a0<strong>Fields<\/strong>\u00a0pane. Such that, the type of visualization created is based on the type of field selected. Moreover, Power BI uses the data type for determining the type of visualization to use for displaying the results. Also, you can change the visualization used by selecting a different icon from the Visualizations pane. Remember, not all visualizations can display your data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, visualizations (also called visuals) are used to display insights that have been discovered in the data. Such that Aa Power BI report may have a single page with one visual or it might have pages full of visuals.
