Roles and Responsibilities

After qualifying the Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) exam, as a Microsoft 365 administrator you will be required to -

  • Manage and function as the integrating hub for all Microsoft 365 workloads.
  • Manage and coordinate across multiple Microsoft 365 workloads.
  • Coordinate and work with architects and other administrators responsible for workloads, infrastructure, identity, security, compliance, endpoints, and applications.


Skills Required

Candidates appearing for the Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) Exam  are required to have -

  • Functional experience with all Microsoft 365 workloads and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), part of Microsoft Entra,
  • Administered at least one of  Microsoft 365 workloads and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), part of Microsoft Entra
  • Working knowledge of networking, server administration, DNS, and PowerShell.

  • Create and manage contacts in the Microsoft 365 admin center
  • Create and manage groups, including Microsoft 365 Groups and manage shared mailboxes
  • Manage and monitor Microsoft 365 licenses, including group-based licensing
  • Perform bulk user management, including Microsoft Graph PowerShell and Microsoft Entra PowerShell


1.3 Manage roles and role groups

  • Implement and manage roles in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID
